PM Express reports that the young woman had approached the 35-year old fake spiritualist to help her cure her abject poverty. Oyo-state born Olanrewaju was however said to have prescribed a three-day marathon $ ex deliverance and a payment of N208, 000k to end Jumoke’s state of abject poverty. The sum was said to be for the purchase of some materials for prayer. He also told her that she will also embark on spiritual deliverance which involve doing things extraordinary. The suspect then informed her that he will engage her for $ ex for three days and thereafter, perform other ritual after which she will become rich at a certain period.
She gave him the money and did other things he requested including sleeping with her for three days. But after few days, her situation did not change, instead it became worse off. When she went to complain, she could not find Olanrewaju at the Abaranje house where the rituals were performed, it was then she realised that she had been duped. Jumoke then went to Idimu police division to report the scam and Olanrewaju was trailed and arrested. He confessed he only obtained her because he had no such power to cure poverty. Olanrewaju was later charged with conspiracy, $ exual assault and stealing before Magistrate’s court sitting in Ejigbo where he was asked to be remanded in prison.
